Unifirst Corporation Receives The First Vehicles From Xos

According to a press statement from Xos Inc., the firm has supplied three vehicles to UniFirst as part of the initial deployment of vehicles bought by the clothing and textile service provider.

The three vehicles will be sent to UniFirst’s Santa Fe Springs headquarters in Southern California, where they will be used for client delivery routes throughout the region.

UniFirst’s EVP of Operations, Michael Croatti, said that they are happy to be sending out the fully-electric vehicles from Xos.

They are constantly working to lessen the environmental impact and believe that converting the vehicle from diesel to electric is essential.

The Xos vehicles will assist them in reducing their overall emission output.

According to the news release, the Xos vehicles headed to Santa Fe Springs, California, are the first of dozens that will be delivered to UniFirst facilities across the United States.

Additional vehicles will be shipped to a UniFirst facility in Boston, Massachusetts, in the second half of 2022.

Jose Castaeda, Xos’ Vice President of Business Development, said that they are thrilled to be supplying the first of many automobiles to their long-term partner UniFirst and to assist them in achieving their sustainability goals.

UniFirst’s foresight in converting its diesel fleet to electric vehicles has yielded favorable results from both a financial and environmental viewpoint.
