Under Project Mumkin, Ashok Leyland Hands Over 500 Dost Trucks

Ashok Leyland, which is India’s leading commercial vehicles manufacturer, has reinforced its commitment for youth under the Jammu & Kashmir administration program called, Project Mumkin under which they have provided them a fleet of 50 small commercial vehicles known as Dost.

On Sunday, the keys of some of the vehicles were handed by India’s Home Minister Amit Shah in the presence of other dignitaries from the center and state.

This partnership between Ashok Leyland and the J & K administration will build entrepreneurship amongst the youth.

The vehicles have been delivered to all the headquarters of the districts. Vipin Sondhi, Ashok Leyland’s MD & CEO, said in a statement said that they look forward to this opportunity which is provided to them for contributing to the upliftment of Jammu & Kashmir’s youth.

He added they are and will continue to provide education and support for the holistic development of the people in the state.

Head of LCV, Ashok Leyland, Rajat Gupta mentioned that through the 500 Dost vehicles, the idea is to empower the youth who will build a brighter future for themselves as this will enable a socio-economic ecosystem generation which will, in turn, be driven by livelihood generation solutions for the unemployed youth of the state between the age of 22-35 years of age.
