The statement added that Mahindra has introduced a soft-top Treo variant in Nepal, and the bookings have already begun in select areas of the country’s Terai region, which falls in the southern part.
Commenting upon the development, Mahindra Electric Mobility Limited CEO, Suman Mishra said that Nepal happens to be a fast-developing economy where eco-friendliness and sustainability are high on cards.
He adds that with the Nepalese government promoting electric vehicles in a big way, it is an opportune time to launch the range of electric three-wheelers in the Himalayan kingdom.
Notably, Agni Energy, an authorized distributor of Mahindra EV’s in Nepal, is assigned to sell the Treo.
