Tata’s Legendary Vehicle- Tata 407’s CNG Variant Launched

Tata Motors yesterday announced the launch of the Tata 407’s CNG version which will be priced at 12.07 lacs (ex-showroom).

CNG has over the years shown immense consistency and according to Tata, the vehicle will offer profits of up to 35% over the diesel variant.

It will be available with a 10-feet load deck, which will offer a high load-carrying capacity. A 3.8-liter CNG engine will power the  Tata 407, leveraging the fuel-efficient SGI engine technology, and will deliver maximum power of 85PS.

In addition to this, it will also generate best-in-class torque of 285Nm at low rpm. Tata 407 weighing 4,995 kgs, will have a 180 liters fuel tank capacity, which will ensure faster turnaround time and also higher productivity.

It will also have the iconic semi-forward control cabin, which is built with high-grade steel, making it safe for anyone who drives it.

Its front parabolic suspension would offer a significantly reduced clutch and gear shift effort and low NVH levels, ideally suited for all types of terrains.

The vehicle is equipped with a USB mobile charging port and Blaupunkt music system for the convenience and in-cabin entertainment of the driver.

This range comes with Fleet Edge – Tata Motors’ next-gen connected vehicle platform for optimal management of the fleet and thereby reducing the total cost of ownership.

It will also have a free subscription of 2 years. Talking about the vehicle, Vice President, Product Line, I&LCV, Tata Motors, Rudrarup Maitra said that the company is thrilled to launch the all-new CNG variant of the Tata 407.

He added that it is arguable the most legendary commercial vehicle of the country that has remained a customer favorite for years.

A total of over 1.2 million units have been sold to date, the highest ever that this segment has seen. Maitra further said that the main reason for Tata 407’s rich legacy is its nature of being customer-centric vehicle.
