Shortage of Semiconductor Chips Hampers Ford Truck Production

TNI || New Delhi || 4th Sept 2021

The Ford Motor Company has said that it will decrease US truck production, as presently there is a semiconductor chip crisis.

Not only them, but other giant truck manufacturers too have suffered production issues due to the unavailability of chips.

As per the statement given by the truck manufacturing giant, two out of three shifts of the Dearborn Truck Plant will be cut from next week, whereas in the Kansas Assembly Plant, F-150 production will be down.

Ford’s Kentucky plant too shall bear the brunt as it will operate on two shifts rather than three in the week starting 6th and 13th September.
