SEA Electric Receives the Largest Truck Order In Its History

SEA Electric, the global transport company, has taken a big leap in the U.S. market by confirming an order of more than 1000 SEA Hino M5 Electric Vehicles, which is the single biggest in its history.

The zero-emission trucks will be delivered to GATR EV, which is a division of GATR Truck Centers. These trucks will feature the SEA-Drive Power System, which is patented.

The offering by SEA Electric will be adaptable to most OEM glider chassis platforms ranging from medium-duty class 3 to heavy-duty class 8.

As per Mike Menyhart, President of SEA Electric, the deal is the outcome of years of research and development and goes on to prove that the company is on track to become number one as far as electrifying global fleets are concerned.

He adds that the market is looking at proven solutions when it comes to EV, and SEA Electric brings to the fore technology that has been verified by millions of miles of real-world applications.

The announcement, according to him, reaffirms its commitment to rapid expansion across the North American market and sets the scene for an exciting year ahead. Nick Casas, SEA’s VP of Sales and Marketing,

says that GATR should be commended for being capable of serving the needs of large fleets. Of the contract, the first 40 vehicles will be delivered by this year’s end, and the rest will be delivered throughout 2022.
