Piaggio Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., small commercial vehicle maker, has taken the pole position in the electric three-wheeler cargo segment in H1 FY 22.
This year in February, the automaker had launched its FX series of electric vehicles in cargo, as well as passenger segment.
The company has now gained a 55 percent cargo electric three market. When it comes to electric cargo vehicles, the company has Ape E-Xtra FX with a full metal body and a 6 ft. cargo deck length.
It also provides an option to customize, like becoming a delivery van for the e-commerce segment or even becoming a garbage collector for various municipal applications.
As per Diego Graffi, Managing Director and MD of PVPL, policies such as FAME-II and the PLI scheme, as well as government subsidies, have helped the company go towards green mobility spearheaded by EVs.
He adds that they are proud to project their leadership in the electric three-wheeler cargo segment.
