In Phase 1, the new charging stations will be deployed throughout the Automovill network in India.

These will be placed in gated neighbourhoods, parking lots, malls, and other sites in Phase 2. Cities like Pune, Benagaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Patna, Lucknow, Guwahati, NCR, as well as Kolkata, are among the places where Automovill has service centres.

Using this existing infrastructure, they will be able to install approximately 500 charging stations.

The brand is digitising the process in order to make the overall experience more approachable and straightforward.

Depending on the type of plug they have, users can use the Automovill smartphone application to identify a charging station.

The company has enabled both Level 1 and Level 2 charging at the majority of their charging stations, satisfying Bharat AC 001 and DC 001 criteria.

Ramana Sambu, Automovill’s co-founder and CBO, says that they see that e-mobility is indeed the way to go these days, and given that they want to fulfil all of the expanding needs in the car service industry, it is vital that they gradually become EV-friendly.

The partnership with Midgard is another one of those critical moves that aligns with the company’s mission.

He adds that, simultaneously, they will be able to contribute more to the development of broader charging facilities across the country.

According to Sabari V, Midgard’s CEO and Director, they are very pleased to have an association with Automovill, and they believe that the automotive industry is transitioning to electric mobility, and the ecosphere needs to be enhanced with a sufficient charging network for the entire value chain.

They expect an exponential increase in electric car demand in the future, and through their strategic partnership, they are building EV charging infrastructure on a larger scale across the country to support electric vehicles.
