Mahindra Treo, The Electric Three-Wheeler Launched in Maharashtra

Mahindra Group’s electric arm, Mahindra Electric Mobility Ltd., has brought to the fore its electric three-wheeler, Mahindra Treo in Maharashtra.

The vehicle is priced at Rs. 2.09 lacs, ex-showroom-Mumbai after FAME-II, as well as state and early-bird subsidies.

In a media release, it is said that Mahindra Treo is at the helm when it comes to electric three-wheelers in the country, with a market share hovering around 67%.

It can save up to Rs. 2 lacs in five years as compared to a three-wheeler which is fueled with CNG. As per Mahindra’s claims, Treo offers the best in industry performance and also gives the highest power of 8 kW and is best in the industry when it comes to slope climbing.

Treo is powered by an advanced lithium-ion battery pack and comes with a range of 130 kilometers upon every full charge.

The charging comes in handy as the vehicle can be charged using a 16 A socket with the help of an onboard portable charger. It also has a NEMO mobility platform that can remotely monitor the vehicle range, track its speed and give out its location.
