EKA Will Utilize Log9 Fast-Charging Battery Systems For Its Electric Vehicle Charging Needs

EKA has signed a long-term partnership with Log9 Materials, a Bengaluru-based advanced battery technology startup, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The collaboration will primarily focus on providing Log9’s RapidX fast-charging battery solution for EKA’s new energy vehicles, such as the EKA E9 pure electric bus line and their upcoming light commercial vehicles line.

Log9’s RapidX batteries, for example, are the first of their type in India for electric buses and SCVs, with a 15-year warranty and InstaCharge battery technology that allows charging in under 30 minutes on both the EKA LCV and e-Bus platforms.

Furthermore, both of these LCVs and e-Buses driven by Log9’s batteries will be commercially accessible in the next 3 to 6 months.

In India, NuPort Robotics To Make Trucking Safer

Following the launch of their respective vehicle platforms, EKA and Log9 plan to introduce a minimum of 10,000 InstaCharged LCVs and 200+ e-Buses in a year as part of their collaboration.

The trucks will be deployed in the Mumbai and Pune Metropolitan Regions first, before being expanded to other metro areas and regions.
