The flagship company of Hinduja Group, Ashok Leyland, which happens to be India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, has announced numerous initiatives that go on to build a green mobility future.
This will be done by enhancing its presence in the alternative fuel spectrum by offering a slew of products like CNG and LNG.
It is believed that the company has put in place a capable, strong team that is equipped to work on alternative fuel technologies and has also dedicated its Hosur facility exclusively for alternative fuel offerings which emit less carbon.
As per Vipin Sondhi, MD & CEO, Ashok Leyland, as the company marches towards being on the top 10 global CV makers list, it must take the right step towards sustainability.
He added that the Hosur facility will be managed by talented and capable hands who will help drive the green mobility future of Ashok Leyland.
N Saravanan, CTO, Ashok Leyland, said that there is already a push seen in the CNG and LNG segment, and they are expecting fuels such as methanol, hydrogen, etc., to replace fossil fuels.
