Hinduja Group’s Ashok Leyland, India’s multinational automotive manufacturer, has reported a 12% growth in domestic sales in September with a figure of 8787 units.
The truck giant had sold 7835 units in the same month last year. The figures are quoted from the regulatory filing.
Total vehicle sales, including the international market, stood at 9533 units, as compared to 8332 units in September last year.
The growth percentage in this segment is around 14%. As far as medium and heavy commercial vehicle’s domestic market sales are concerned, there has been a stupendous growth of 39% with 4529 units sold last month as compared to 3628 units sold during the same time last year.
However, there was a decline of 7% in the light commercial vehicle segment, where 4528 units were sold out last month, as against 4567 units in September 2020.
